La Donna e Mobile

1993 - "La Donna e Mobile", screenplay by Lyuben Dilov - son, producer - Nidal Algafari.

In this film Nona acts the part of Jacky, who is an invalid. Thanks god, Nona has never before tried to sit in an invalid chair up to that moment. She cannot say she has never thought about these people or about the way you live if you cannot move but then she felt this for real. She could only rely on her hands since at that time there weren't any new and nice models of invalid chairs in Bulgaria. In order to move, you had to push the wheels with your hands. The producer wanted to show as realistically as possible the tragedy of paralyzed people. Besides having to forget she had legs of her own, she had also to sink deep into the consciousness of this girl, which was in fact the most fearful part of it all. Nona has dedicated her role mostly to the victims of sects since in actual fact this is her heroinå's greatest tragedy. It is really cruel when someone is taking advantage of other people's unhappiness or abuses their confidence. We all know how many human lives and how many fates have been ruined by the sects and Nona thinks that no one should remain indifferent to this problem.

Nona loves her heroine in this film very much and she loves her lost soul.

Dalila

1995 - TV Theatre. This play is by Vladimir Musakov, producer - Vili Tsankov. Nona acts the part of Dalila in this play.

Musakov wrote "Dalila" in 1934. This work is completely in the spirit of symbolism, full of beautiful words and images. Nona was happy to work with Vili Tsankov, one of the biggest producers in the Bulgarian filmmaking and theatre. She thinks she has gained a lot from his sensitivity, intelligence and rich theatre experience. It is not by chance that he is called "The aesthete" in the Bulgarian theatre. This is a man with an exceptionally strongly expressed personal style, which is something Nona respects very much. Stefan Danailov acts the part of Samson and Anya Pencheva acts the other very interesting female part.

Emigrants

Produced in 2002, this film is a producer's debut in film making of Nona's wonderful colleague Ivailo Hristov, who is a beloved actor of several generations now and who is still a very young and very well working actor. He and Lyudmil Todorov are the authors of the screenplay. Nona is acting the part of the sister of one of the main characters in this film. It is about three young men, who feel like emigrants in their own country (which is a state of mind for many Bulgarians).

To work with Ivailo Hristov is always a real pleasure and the tandem of the two of them with Lyudmil Todorov is something Nona would wish to happen to all actors.

The film is both funny and sad and Nona thinks that it is very close to every man's heart.
