I wanted for a long time to make a real musical. Naturally, in a country like Bulgaria this is impossible for many reasons. But I have always refused to give up my dreams. One of these dreams was to take part in a musical like “Chicago”. This is one of my favourite films. When I shared my idea with the producer Vasil Stefanov, he got very enthusiastic and we decided to try and realize it. The next step was to meet the choreographer Sasha Hong. She also liked the project and the song very much and suggested that one more choreographer works with us and participates as one of the dancers. That’s how Kamen Ivanov became a soloist and a second choreographer of the clip.

After I gathered the team and we made the conception clear, naturally the most difficult thing came, i.e. the financing. We wrote a scenario and a budget (not a small one) and started offering them to different firms and people, dealing with business. Most unexpectedly the solution came quickly and in the most suitable moment possible. The brothers Dinev, who have changed the southern Black sea coast said they back the idea immediately after they heard the song and read the scenario. From this point on everything was done with a lot of work and with great pleasure by the whole team. And this was not a small team: eight dancers, two choreographers, a producer and his first assistant – his wife Stefka, cameramen, scenery, lighting, stage-hands and last but not least musicians. Everybody worked dedicatedly and with pleasure and I think that the clip “Violet Night” is a well-done job and for me it is definitely a dream come true.
